This song is the product of a collaboration with the Scripts of a Butterfly Store, which involved writing a song together and designing some of Jio’s merchandise for their site. Shanae (also Jio’s mother) is the CEO, based in Houston, TEXAS. She came to Jio with a poem she wrote while Jio was having trouble figuring out the direction of this Brazilian-style beat. The full song turned into a whole 8-minute journey of just mesmerizing sonic exploration. Shanae’s poem is published in The Awakened Butterfly: A Paragon of Poetry and can be found at the Scripts of a Butterfly store (soabutterfly.com).more
