Shae has been singing, playing guitar and writing songs since he was a teenager. In addition to his vocal abilities he plays multiple instruments including guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, keyboards, and percussion. Lyrically Shae focuses on traditional roots, folk, blues, and Americana music with an autobiographical sprinkling interspersed. In an ironic twist Shae's life has taken a similar path to one of his early childhood influences, Woody Guthrie with both sharing backgrounds in not only music but as sign maker/painters and radio broadcasters. Shae even pushed the political boundaries further having served as his hometown's Vice-Mayor.
