Trippy Steps is a collaboration between Courtney Odom and Ysseo. The two met on Metapop, a now defunct community platform for musicians, hosted by Native Instruments, that supported the growth of developing artists. They decided to collaborate on a song for ‘Collab Challenge Three’ and it won the contest. On The Verge was a great success so the two decided to continue making music together and started Trippy Steps in 2022. Ysseo lives in Berlin, Germany, and Courtney lives in the United States. They have never met, spoken, or seen each other face to face. They have only written to each other and exchanged tracks over email.
