The piece began life being inspired by a stay at a converted radar station in Cornwall. I began looking into just how groundbreaking radar was and how it gave our RAF vital warning of impending raids by the enemy during WW2 and what became known as the Battle of Britain. This is a tribute to all the brave pilots who gave their lives to protect our air space from the Luftwaffe. But for them we would have been over run and our freedom gone forever.
