Inspired by @fragrantcircus. Contains Profanity!!! I wrote this in 2007 to perform at a Poetry/Spoken Word Open Mic Night. I was so nervous, that all I barely recall the entire experience. I remember the cafe, the lighting. I can still hear the background sounds of an espresso steaming, dishes clanking with great effort to do so quietly, yet, only to become louder. I hear these operational hymms behind all the chitter-chatter and hidden ambient laughter. I've been wanting to do something with this since. It's a rough draft. Experimental. more
