Sometimes, you come across a poem, and it is not just words. A melody stirs within you, and the notes begin to flow on their own. That’s exactly how it was when I first encountered these special verses by İbrahim Karaca. Bir Eski Şarkısın took shape effortlessly, with each note naturally finding its place. And now, it is ready to meet you. Life flows ceaselessly, sometimes sweeping us away in a whirlwind of dust and chaos. But music is a timeless refuge beyond it all. On this journey of the song, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my dear composer and arranger friend, Ümit Armağan, and to all the musicians who contributed to it. Each of them touched the soul of this melody and brought it to life. Now, I entrust this song to you. I hope you find a place for it in your own story and discover yourself within its notes. Lyrics in English: Life doesn't stop, it flows In dust and smoke You, an old song At the tip of my heart Permanently, I look at my life The roads I walk Have I lost yesterday in it Life doesn't stop, it flows In dust and smoke You, an old song At the tip of my heart The wind fell into the streets I'm ready for exile Like an unexpected passenger In a run-down inn Life doesn't stop, it flows In dust and smoke You, an old song At the tip of my heart Life doesn't stop, it flows In dust and smoke You, an old song At the tip of my heart Lyrics: İbrahim Karaca Music: Mahir Gül Production, Arrangement and Mix: Ümit Armağan, Project Director: Mahir Gül Guitars and Keys: Ümit Armağan - London / United Kingdom Drums: Cengiz Tural - İstanbul / Turkey Bass Guitar: Joabe Araujo - Brazilia Mastering: Luciano Vassao: USA ‪ more
