It is also continues production experimenting for many things including a "whispered scream" used alongside conventional screaming, comfortability with repeated verses, much more involvement of sliding downtuning and fade in down pitched layering, sweet sung vocals in a blended tone, conversational dialogue and an overall impressionistic approach rather than concrete specific concepts instead opting for vaguely defined themes that can be interpreted many ways.
Endorphins is the last song on the album. It is both unapproachable in certain ways and more accessible in other ways. It is one of numerous songs on the album that utilize free flowing conversational dialogue and it also uses the aforementioned "Whisper Scream," and I'd say is a successful showcase of it. But it also draws from 90s rock and pop influences especially in the chorus. Its lyrical content is simply recalling finally finding inner peace after a long while emotional distress. more
