Born and raised in south jersey, S.H.O.E. grew up with an appreciation for music of all kinds. He often heard rap and alternative rock in the house as both of his parents were avid music lovers as well. Something about how rappers could skillfully express themselves through poetry influenced him to start writing. Early on he discovered rappers like Eminem, Jay-Z, DMX, 2Pac, & Biggie, etc. After digesting everything he could he then discovered Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, Slum Village, Kanye West, & Slaughterhouse which would change his influence forever. He started disappearing from the social scene in high school and would spend most of his time locked in his room with a pen and some paper. After years of honing his skills and keeping it a secret he began to introduce his music to close friends which led to them spreading the word to others. After awhile it was obvious he needed to release something to the public. In 2015 he released an EP. The rest is history.
