TAY LAY LAY
Remember the Old Lady from Kitchener’s, The Old Lady Walk Ah Mile And A Half? This old lady’s spirit is still alive and well today! She is passing through! Look out for her! Tay Lay Lay was a Creole/Patois term that was popularly used in the old days to express exhaustion. After walking through the ages, it’s no wonder why this old lady is exhausted. This time around though Tanty takes her time as she walks and sways to the sweet melodies of the past, present, and future. If allyuh see Tanty walk! Yes! This old lady is not easy! She now enjoys the view of all the generations that succeeded her on her journey as she continues to walk for all of eternity. Tay Lay Lay evokes a feeling of nostalgia for some of us! It transports the listener way back in time, back to the "Ole Time Days." Back then story-telling was a main form of entertainment and most of these stories became the treasured Calypsos we love today. The spirit of this great icon continues to live on and inspire us! Long live Calypso! By Calypso, our stories are told! I hope you like it!more
