16-bit are an alt-rock outfit from Stoke-on-Trent, forged from a chance meeting on a tennis court in late 2025.
Blending the technical precision of Dream Theater and Biffy Clyro with the raw, political edge of the Manic Street Preachers, 16-bit creates a high-contrast soundscape for a country at a breaking point.
Their debut single, ‘Is This Real?’, explores the disconnect between the "game" of modern politics and the lived reality of the working class. Using a 16-bit digital aesthetic to mirror real-world problems—from the NHS crisis and rising foodbanks to the "monsters" that live amongst us—the project is a direct response to a society led by the insane.
16-bit is a project built on both technical graft and an urgent need for the truth.
