Tim Alberts has forged a career of mostly flying under the radar. He’s produced albums and videos for various local singer-songwriters, scored documentary and feature films, produced and directed documentaries, and taught film and music to high school students. In the 2000’s, he and songwriting partner/friend, Philip Cottrell produced two albums, Spin and Wide Open. In 2019, his film, Sisyphus Rides aired on the Documentary Channel in Canada. But while he’s happy to wear various hats, Tim always seems to come back to songwriting. When the COVID pandemic began in early 2020, Tim had just finished the documentary film, How History is Written. With lockdowns going into effect, he decided to turn his attention to recording. He'd had a few songs on the back burner - in some cases for years. A year later, he had demos for 20 new (and some not-so-new) songs. In late 2021, he began a new project to release on various streaming platforms, new music on a monthly basis.
