AJ Sure is a Texas singer and songwriter. Born in the small Texas town of Cotulla, AJ had a love of music from a young age. He formally studied saxophone, guitar, piano, and music theory. In the late 1990s he formed the band, Along for the Ride. As lead vocals and rhythm guitar he performed in dancehalls, venues, and festivals across South Texas. The band was recognized as finalists in San Antonio’s Battle of the Bands and in Don Reed Productions’ Starborn competition before going their separate ways. It was during this time, that AJ wrote If You’re Not Even Here, Time Flies, Head Over Heels and Rescue Me. He performed If You’re Not Even Here on the stage at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House. AJ has volunteered as a worship leader for churches and special events. In 2010, K-Love Christian radio recognized him for his service to ministry through music. Today, AJ lives with his family in the Texas hill country. He is back in the studio remastering his original music and writing new songs.
