Alex 'Akronist' Spencer is a producer, performer and seeker originally from the South Wales town Abergavenny, and is currently living and making music in rural France His work has never been what one could call typical of its respective genre, and this is especially true of his latest release, 'Searching For The Centre. A reflective and at times quirky journey through a transformative period in both his artistic and personal life, the album explores themes of growth, compassion, fear and non-attachment, whilst never quite taking things too seriously. With a first love of Hip Hop, Akronist has since been influenced by an extremely diverse selection of artists and genres, ranging from electronic acts like Royksopp, Bonobo and Daft Punk, to groups such as Radiohead, Vampire Weekend and The Strokes. He hopes that his music can make a positive impact in the world, and contribute to the global force of change that has already begun to nudge us towards a more harmonious and conscious futur
