Alex Pattle played drums in Ocean Flaws from the Essex band’s inception until its dissolution in 2023, after a spell that featured multiple sold-out shows and numerous plays on BBC Radio 6, Radio X and BBC Introducing. He then delved into songwriting by himself for the first time, recording and releasing his debut single “I’m Going To Leave You At The Altar” in late 2023. The song was inspired by the existential feeling of watching many friends and loved ones get married in a short space of time, and being a proud but disillusioned passenger in that period.
