Amy Grant is a singer/songwriter from Queens County, NS and has been performing covers, along with her own original music locally with bands and as a soloist for most of her adult life. A former member of the Nova Scotia Mass Choir, Amy now performs mostly as a trio (It’s All Relative) with her brother, Tim Whynot, son, Luke Grant and daughter, Mandi Himmelman at local events such as The Hank Snow Tribute and Liverpool Privateer Days. Amy has an appreciation for all genres of music and describes her song writing as being a mix of roots, folk and country with hints of gospel and bluegrass. In 2016 she recorded her debut album, This Time Around, and has been continuing to write off and on since the album’s release. In 2020 she was thrilled to be offered the opportunity to open a concert for Catherine MacLellan but much to her disappointment, the event was cancelled due to Covid. The title track from her album has just been released to online streaming platforms February of 2025.
