I have played guitar and keyboard since I was a teenager and been a hobby composer since then. However, I pursued a career outside of music for the longest time. I have been a philosopher for most of my life, studied, taught and researched in Germany and the US, but left academia in 2019. During and after my undergraduate studies, I worked as a freelance graphic designer, then as a copywriter in an advertising agency for clients including Porsche and Schüco. After my doctorate, I was Head of Mar­ket­ing at a medium-sized translation agency for five years until I finally took the leap into self-employ­ment and founded Beyond the Blur e.K. in 2024. It is in this context, that I lately worked on various AI projects, including Semantic Void, which tries to fuse lyrics inspired by philosophy papers and thought experiments with rock, gothic, metal. However, the long-term plan is to phase out the AI parts and eventually turn it into a proper music project. We'll see.
