Anja Bakker is a harper, pilgrim, writer, speaker who has walked her 26string harp from West Cork in Ireland to Santiago de Compostela in Norther Spain and Ireland to Italy in the footsteps of the Medieval pilgrim harpers, troubadours and trouveres. On her adventures she's played in places like Reims Cathedral, the Sisteen Chapel in Vatican City as well as many other oteworthy venues. Clasically trained in the Netherlands and Ireland she now mainly plays folk musica and original material. Her music is strongly influenced by those people she meets on her journeys and are part of stories she tells.
