Silk Plays guitar and is gifted with a silky reach voice. Born "Hubert Derry LEWIS” 1982 at home in (St Joseph) Dominica. Raised by separated parents, Hubert is the last of 9 children. Graduated from pre-school, primary school, secondary/high school, then moved on to the university of life where he and music found each other. At that point Hubert D Lewis was 18 and publicly known as “Dr Silk Asara” The Singer. Step by step, bit by bit this name Silk Asara started buzzing around. Music his occupation and being the best version of himself the focus, Haile Selassie his example and ABBA.
