As a songwriter, David Funk has been building a catalog of original work for many years. The folk singer storytellers of the 60’s and 70’s, highly influenced his tone and style. As he developed his own folky style from the late 70’s until now, his diverse writing delved into Folk Rock, Country, CCM, Christian Folk, Americana, Blues, and even Alt-Country Street Rap styles. He later built a home studio to further develop his ideas but found his vocal chops suffering with age, which led him to investigate Ai as a tool to translate his lyrics and musical arrangements into vocal/musical compositions. This allowed him to stay true to his original compositional intent as he matched vocal, genre, and style to each independent song. While the voicing and instruments you hear are not his own, the lyrics and arrangements are uniquely his. Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy.
