Born Paola, Ks. Lived in Osawatomie, and Lawrence. Earliest musical influences were The Hit Parade, early Elvis, early Neil Diamond, the Ronettes, The Supremes, The Shirelles, Dusty Springfield, The Four Seasons. Big Band music, Gene Krupa, Harry James, etc. and the counter melodies of the tuba and sousaphone in Sousa marches from listening to the pep and marching bands at KU games. Started writing in the late 1960's but didn't find my "muse" until the late 1980's. I don't play an instrument except drums, so all my songs, melodies, piano parts, guitar parts, all come from inside my head, and are then sung into a recording device, which I then have to play, hum, sing to a guitar player, preferrably. A painstaking process, but results are unique to me. No standard blues or rock and roll chord progressions. Until now, my songs have gone unheard, but with social media being what it is, I have an outlet that was never available or affordable.
