Richmond VA rapper BigBank Jo quickly developed his craft throughout the late 2000s, going from free styling songs with his friends to living through the mic in the same studio that helped top local artist today break through worldwide. His lyrics often draw on more lyrical influenced details of his personal life than average rap mumble and he delivers them with a dominant sensibility on projects like 2020’s Gas Em Up. BigBank Jo (sometimes known as Bank) was born Joe Cook III in 1998. He grew up in North Highland Park, Virginia but relocated to the suburbs when he began taking life more seriously in 2014. After completing various projects in his notes, he released the single No Soul. A tape that saw his authentic, autobiographical style solidifying. At this point BigBank had created up enough confidence and attention through both his music and social media following to attract the attention of multiple big time music groups and artist.
