I developed an unexpected passion for making music starting 10.13.23. I pulled out my notes to write a speech for my dad‘s funeral & found a poem I wrote this summer about a toxic relationship I had been in. 💔 I decided to turn it into a song using my phone on an app. It became addicting from there- making 15 songs in 7 days. I am unique & my songs are true stories. It’s a version of a freestyle in my eyes because I text away in my notes quickly, which is why I feel like this is meant to be, everything flows together perfectly. I find a beat that I think fits the mood & record once. I love the imperfections and originality. When I try again, the first one always sounds better to me. I never know how the beat will drop so I have to switch up my flow as it goes and that’s why I think it’s special. Nothing is repetitive or thought on too long.
