A son of Southern Appalachia and Western North Carolina. Bugs was surrounded by mountain music, southern gospel, bluegrass and folk. All of it goes hand in hand in the Smoky Mountains. His Father sang bass in a gospel quartet and was the Choir Director for their local church. "I spent a great deal of time looking out of a tour bus window. I fell hard for the road and all the people and the stories they carried. I love storytelling and I love music. All I want to do is tell good stories."
