Dave Boyce aka C. Diddy was born on the beautiful island of Barbados. From the age of 12, he had a penchant for using words and rhyming. His early influence was an older cousin, who introduced him to "Chanting" (Jamaicans call it toasting or chatting). and with additional "help" from the hottest Jamaican dancehall DJs of that time. C. Diddy learned how to create rhymes and "sit down pon de riddim" like "a lizard pon a limb". C. Diddy’s greatest influences in music was Shabba Ranks and Prince. C. Diddy 's hits are: "Mauby" "Bakefowl & Breadfruit", "Girlz Reddd Hottt", “One Round Ah Drinks”, “Good” ”Something Nice”, “Bad Boy Fuh Soca” and more recently “Ven Aqui” feat. Latin artist, La Pana. In 2017, C. Diddy entered the USA Soca Monarch with the song “One Round Ah Drinks” and placed in the top 10. In 2019, he entered the International Bashment Soca Competition for Barbados’ Crop Over Festival and made it to the semi-finals with a song call "Bashment Story".
