Asterus is a music project started by Calvin Steward, a graphic designer, amateur photographer and musician from Ipswich in the UK. With influences spanning from Doom Metal to Symphonic film soundtracks these instrumental pieces are eclectic in their nature and don't tend to follow current trends. Recorded on a home setup, Calvin plays bass, guitars and keyboards while the drums are programmed in Reaper. Microdriver is an ongoing project by Calvin Steward. Using a mix of analogue synths, guitar pedals and digital processing in Reaper, Microdriver draws inspiration from the late 90s trance classics that used to echo through the superclubs on messy Saturday nights all across the UK.
