My name is Chris Harper, I’m a 26 year old Indie/Folk Pop singer songwriter from Crowborough in Sussex. Through my project I aim to inspire those who feel outcasted due to their identity or ambitions. I was raised in a very strict military family, who doubted my choice to go into music, and sent me to a school where everything was regimented and geared towards exam results. I didn’t feel free to be a creative individual there, so when I arrived at Uni I finally felt able to escape to songwriting as a means to express myself, and to cope with my dyslexia and ADHD. It was like 18 years of pent up feelings came rushing out all at once, through music. For me my project stands for those who want to go against the grain, and still choose to pursue whatever they might be passionate about, regardless of where they come from. I love my craft and I’m growing and learning more about it every day.
