Born in Bela-Bela, South Africa, Phomello J. Phiri well known as "Codey Exe" first started his music career at the age of 19 (2021) where he found the passion for writing songs. Although his music isn't widely known yet, Codey Exe still takes pride in his craft.
He found a way to express himself through the genres of Emo Rap and Trap, following the footsteps of his late favorite Rappers XXXTENTACION and Juice Wrld, Codey Exe aspire to rule the world and change it for the better OF COURSE. 😌
In just a few months he improved significantly and he plans to do more in the future.
"Codey Exe" released his first single in January (2021) Bet it all. He later released his Debut E.P. "Hold On" in September (2021) featuring Rappers like Chayz3r, Kalu & Jason D'Veezo.

This song is about being in a relationship with someone you love but no matter how hard you try to make it work, it doesn't work. You guys are just not compatible. Feelings alone can't make a relationship work.
