I am Donald Birmingham a bassist by profession. I am skilled in playing both the electric and upright bass and perform musical selections ranging from various genres such as Reggae, Calypso, Jazz, Rock, Funk, Gospel and Soca. As part of enhancing my skills, I got enrolled in a summer performance program at the Berklee College of Music Boston, Massachusetts where I did courses in Jazz standards, Blues, Latin and Jazz composition. In my years preceding high school, I joined a variety of local bands here in St. Thomas. As a long-term member of the Starlite and Spectrum band. One of my most prestige moments in my music history was gaining the opportunity to playing alongside Duane Stephenson, well known reggae artist out of Jamaica. I have backed up other regional music legend such as the Mighty Sparrow, opened for Maxi Priest, Third World and Jimmy cliff. Currently I am a member of the Barefoot band Davis a local band, and my very own Donald B and Friends.
