A native of Chicago's Southside Englewood neighborhood, Dee Smith started her DJ career in Dallas, TX where she revealed her rap skills at a open mic event. She made her single debut in 2018 with a witty Christmas Song titled, Nice List Overrated. Through her songs Nice List Overrated and Mortal Cumback, DJ MzMoodSwingz introduces you to two of the many characters that shape her personality. Her experiences while living in Chicago, New Orleans, and Dallas has helped shape her sound and influence her cutting edge delivery, eccentric word play and explosive songwriting skills. Reflecting on her experiences with homelessness and childhood trauma, DJMzMoodSwingz stands as a symbol for people especially women to fight thru adversity and be themselves.
