Brooklyn-born singer-songwriter Dan Nicholson emerged in the mid-90's as frontman for rockers West End Line. He joined proggy-minded Wilt in 1996 and played keyboards on Waiting For A Rainbow. In 1999 Nicholson recorded Realer Than Real, a 12-song LP, playing almost every note himself. A guest solo was performed by Wilt bassist Anthony DeSilva. The two would go on to form an acoustic duo and release a double A-side, "Just To Get Close To You/ Guide Me" as DeSilva Nicholson. The release caught the attention of the Songwriter's Hall Of Fame. The duo earned a coveted slot at a SHOF New Artist Showcase and then their very own showcase. But the chaos of 9/11 overshadowed everything. In 2004 Nicholson regrouped and moved to Minnesota. The LPs The Minneapolis Years, Betting On The Muse, and Bardo State followed. In 2024 the entire catalogue was finally made available on streaming sites. A new video single "You Can't Rely On Me" will be joined by other new material later in 2025.
