Classical guitar is lifelong passion and hobby of mine. I have enjoyed playing an eclectic repertoire of classical music ranging from renaissance to romantic and contemporary. Professionally, I work in theoretical physics. I enjoy the mathematical structure of music, although I use it as a way of expressing stories and emotions for which there are no words. I hear music in my dreams and often wonder over the source of such harmonies-- occasionally I memorise them and replicate them on my guitar. The Emperor's March, my first composition, was written for a Russian friend on her 21st birthday. She was suicidal at the time and I decided to cheer her up with a frivolous, happy piece about Emperor penuins going to war. Similarly, I composed the movements from "Variations on an Odyssey" to reflect the Greek epics and adversity life throws at us. I dedicated these pieces to a friend who took his own life in 2020. My other hobbies include karate, strongman, languages, cooking and literature.
