Dany Era, born as Jordany Jimenez in New Brunswick, New Jersey, is a guitarist/singer/songwriter whose influences collide from two very different worlds. As a young kid raised in the early 2000s, Dany grew up listening to the likes of Blink-182, Don Omar, Sean Paul, Green Day & More. However, even with such outside influences surrounding him, he never strayed too far from his Dominican roots. His father Henry and cousin Eunel in particular played a big role in his involvement within the genre, as they were the founders of the popular 2000s Bachata group “Nueva Era” . Sure, he loved to listen to Raulin Rodriguez, Joe Veras and Zacarias Ferreira but to him, nothing like what Nueva Eras hits “Amor Eterno” and “We Belong Together” brought to the table..It’s in his veins. Dany currently works alongside his best friend Joeylyto in their duo project “Joey & Dany” in hopes of giving the genre new life.
