Baseball on Mute is a project of songs written by Drew Cohen, brought to life by the band of Drew, Ned Parker, Andy Hart, and Garrett Clausen. When Drew was a young boy, his father would listen to the music of Jackson Browne, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Texas Tornados, and Willie Nelson (to name a few) with baseball on mute in the background. Baseball on Mute borrows from Drew’s father’s influences and builds on them to deliver honest modern thoughts over acoustic-electric sounds of a four-piece band. Cohen and the band aim for depth safeguarded by lighthearted lyrics and lilt. Drew strives to live life as egoless manic in Chicago.
