Singapore

Dennis Toh is a Singapore-based singer whose music is rooted in emotional honesty, restraint, and storytelling shaped by life experience. A graduate of Nanyang Technological University, he first gained public attention as a Top 12 finalist in the Chinese talent competition Star Search 2001, marking his entry into the performing arts. While his career expanded into theatre, film, and television, music has remained a central creative anchor. Influenced by Mandarin pop ballads and contemporary Asian singer-songwriter traditions, Dennis’ vocal style is warm, grounded, and narrative-driven. He approaches each song as a personal reflection, focusing on meaning, phrasing, and emotional clarity rather than spectacle. His performances favour sincerity and depth, resonating with mature listeners across Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. Now actively returning to music, Dennis creates songs that explore love, memory, resilience, and quiet self-discovery.
