A vibrant RnB singer/songwriter and classical pianist, DIXIE was first introduced to music at age 3 when her mother began teaching her the fundamentals of piano. At age 8, DIXIE discovered her gift of perfect pitch, as well as her love of singing and further went on to write songs even after her family could no longer afford private lessons.
Inspired by soulful artists, namely Alicia Keys, Allen Stone, and emo band Dashboard Confessional, music has helped DIXIE cope through her own personal challenges. DIXIE's musical passion led her to receiving multiple music scholarships in college and various awards on tour as a young soloist. DIXIE's knowledge and passion for creating colorful, soulful music has driven her to release her debut single, "Grateful," as she wishes to unite and uplift the world in the way she best knows how: music.
