Singer-songwriter Drue Butters, first made his debut as a musician during the release of his concept album, “The Psychosocial Stressor”. Based on his personal experiences with substances and psychosis, he Incorporates dark lyricism with rhythmic acoustic guitar and grungy vocals to emphasize on the social economics of his neighborhood and perspective life in San Diego. As a solo performer, his biggest inspirations derive from Folk Punk culture, utilizing his experiences writing hip hop lyrics to convey his storytelling and connect with the audience in his community. Currently, he continues to write music on guitar and is also working on another concept album in the Hip-Hop genre in collaboration with other underground artists. He can be seen writing and performing publicly at various local hangouts.
