Dub Mono Hifi is a self-managed project in Santiago de Compostela, which brings together different musicians and sound technicians with experience in very different styles. The passion for powerful bass and the underground scene of UK sound systems as well as the new sounds of the French Eurostepper lead this group to undertake the construction of their own sound system in 2018, with which to boost the local scene with their own handcrafted wooden boxes. Since 2016, the group has been releasing music both on its own label and on Universal Echo Records, with collaborations with national and international artists of the scene, as well as remixes by other artists in the country such as Tanxugueiras or Sés. They are responsible for and promoters of parties such as the Underdub in which the enveloping sounds of their sub-recordings provide a space for connection and understanding based on respect and culture.
