Ed Varez is a Peruvian-American musician, singer, composer with a special sensibility for the Latin American and American music. From a very young age, he sensed something powerful in music that led him to pursue it not just for listening, but also for producing. Ed greatly enjoys music and this can be seen in how well he plays the guitar. When asked what his musical influences are, Ed responds by saying that he relates to any artist that is able to transmit honesty and good feeling through sounds and melodies. At age 12, Ed took his first piano lessons. In his first year as an aspiring musician, Ed’s father bought him his first guitar and since then, it became his preferred musical instrument.
Ed used to perform with the pop rock band Beforia in the San Francisco Bay Area. The genres that he enjoys and is capable of adapting to include blues, jazz, reggae, classical, latin american folklore, bossa nova, funk, soul, r&b, afro-peruvian, and indian.
