Singer Songwriter:
My full name is Simpson Archibald Rushton. Stately name I must admit but most folks just call me “Sim”. I was born in the small mining Town of Springhill Nova Scotia Canada. My ambitions and my deep passion for singing, songwriting and playing music started when I was very young and thrives within my very soul today. I loved all genre of music and do not see myself being limited by any one. I have two LP recordings to my credit a “Radio Canada Broadcast Recording” and the LP “From Me To You” a privately pressed recording in the later 1970’s. Music and my interest in theology lead me to form a Spiritual Trio called “Mike Lawry and Sim” in the 1980’s. We produced 3 cassette tapes with a mixture of secular and contemporary Gospel tunes. We toured most of the Maritimes along with trips to Germany and Bermuda in the early 1990’s. Presently I am a Minister with the United Church of Canada in Shediac N. B. still writing, singing and producing new music.
