Frankie DoWop, a self taught vocalist raised in a musical home & family, fine tuned her skills by way of live performance. Originally a classically trained dancer with experience in musical theatre & Vaudeville, she’s been influenced by numerous sounds and performance styles. Her many musical inspirations, including her love of Funk & Soul, combine with her raw prowess producing a sound that is distinctly Frankie DoWop. Frankie began her vocal career singing background for her late brother's funk/soul band, Big Brother Thunder & The Masterblasters in 2013. After his passing, she diversified her resume doing the same for a variety of performing acts. Landing gigs from LouFest, SXSW, & opening for artists such as Ashanti, Melanie Fiona and STL’s very own, Nelly. In 2019 Frankie emerged from the background to the forefront, releasing singles ‘Rollin’ Round’ (2019), ‘Hard To Kill’ (2019) & ’Forever And A Day’ (2020) to well-received fanfare.
