Fred Walter grew up in a Christian home on a dairy farm near Westport, in Central MN. His family attended church 3 times a week and much of their family time was singing around the piano. His parents took their 14 children to some Southern Gospel concerts where his love for that style of music began. Fred has been a part of bringing well known Southern Gospel groups to the area for over 30 years. Fred is the father of 5 children and Grandfather 9 grandchildren. He and his wife Debbie live outside of Osakis. His wife Debbie seeing the love that Fred had for Southern Gospel music, his vocal abilities and most importantly the deep desire he had to share the message of Jesus, encouraged him to make his own CD. Fred feels that each song is like a mini sermon.
