I'm compelled to create music every day. I mostly work with piano, guitar and synthesizers as a solo artist. My family is a musical one. I was very lucky to grow up around great Cincinnati musicians like The Isley Brothers, Bootsy Collins, Ass Ponys, The Afghan Whigs and Over the Rhine. I was around music everyday at home too. My Uncle was a studio guitarist for King Record in the 1960s and he taught me about learning to play guitar on a broomstick, recording on reel-to-reel tape and ADAT and how to live on the tiny income of a musician. I was brought up on Motown, classic rock, doo-wop, 70s singer/songwriters, outlaw country and film scores and comedy albums. I was the owner/operator of a small project studio in Cincinnati, Ohio about 20+ years ago. I've recently made the transition from 9-5 professional to self-employed musician. I bit off more that I could chew working for a second job for a large corporation, had a mental breakdown and returned to my passion/home
