I never expected to become a singer songwriter but here I am. In some ways I am a reluctant performer but I have had to find my way. I suppose I have to thank or curse Holly Humberstone (Brit award winner) for this. She created the spark that got me started and since then it has taken off. I have now created a pretty decent and varied first album with more to follow I hope. Of the songs on my first album, Clockwork itself is an instrumental piece with classical roots. Of the remaining 11 songs, 4 have lyrics by me and 7 have lyrics from Alexander Humberstone. Alex is my step son and Holly's cousin. Alex now works as a young medical doctor. I wrote "Doctor Doctor" as a fun song after he qualified. Alex loves writing and has provided some great lyrics for me. I try not to do bland lyrics and most have an emotional content.
