GØKHA - that’s me.
I was born in a police state. I chose to build my life in Kyiv.
In the second year of the war, I was left without my wife, my friends, my car, my business, my home, and the sense of who I was.
At moments like that, the only thing that talks to you is songs. Honest songs. Songs you’ve suffered through. Songs you’ve lived yourself.
I’ve always admired people who truly master their craft.
For three years I screamed in a garage, trying to learn how to sing. For three years I learned how to write and put my thoughts and feelings into words. For three years I watched fucking YouTube videos with audio engineering shit.
For three years I couldn’t find my place, stuck in an endless cycle of realizing how many things I had neglected all those years.
