Gail Russell is a Graphic Designer with a career spanning more than 30 years in the design industry. Design has been her passion. She has also authored and designed children's books. Being a nervous 'closet' singer, who has never sang publically, she discovered she could add her voice, to her own lyrics and direct the music with the aid of AI, and hence, gailywaily the music artist was born. gailywaily ~ creates contemporary electronic folk and dance inspired by place, memory, experiences and the moments that connect them. Rooted partly in her London-Irish ancestry, the music moves between Ireland, London and everywhere in between — between then and now, here and there, belonging and leaving.
Blending original songwriting, folk influences, dance rhythms and AI-assisted production, gailywaily creates songs that are as much about a feeling as a place.
