I have been practicing chanting, reciting and studying mantras for many years. It is an important part of my spiritual discipline. Music, spirituality and nature are important in my life. I played my first musical instrument as a 9-year-old boy and I sang in a youth choir at the age of fifteen and have continued to sing and make music ever since, mainly early music, from Gregorian to late Baroque. Nature gave me experiences of unity early in my life and it is only since I started meditating that I realize what the nature walks I took as a teenager have brought me: contact with the Absolute. All those aspects come together perfectly in what I currently do.
I owe a lot to yogi and kundalini master Sri Vasudeva. He has inspired and guided me on my spiritual quest. He comes from the Siddha Yoga tradition and loves singing mantras. The mantras I sung with him are forever in my memory (and beyond) and, of all the mantras I chant, bring me closest to the Source.
