"Gazcoyn" -Steve Monti- is an Alternative Rock artist based out of Toronto. Starting out as a Singer/Screamer for a Hardcore Punk band in the early 2000's, Monti began exploring his passion for creating and producing his own music. After attending Seneca at York for music production , armed with the tools he needed to set forth, Monti acquired a job writing and recording music for a local film company. During this time he discovered a love for films as well as the epic and compelling music that scored those films. This heavily influenced his sound and Monti began implementing light film score motifs throughout his music thereafter. Cinematic music along with his Hardcore Punk, Metal and Grunge roots, Monti's signature sound slowly began developing into what you can now describe as an "Epic Grunge Rock Opera." Emotional cinematic motifs, underneath loud guitars bumping drums and a Harsh at times but smooth at others vocal style.
