New Philly is more than just a name — it’s a mission. Born and raised in North Philadelphia, Giovanne “New Philly” Morocho carries the grit of the streets with the light of the Gospel. His music fuses scripture, raw honesty, and cultural language into powerful songs that reach both the church and the streets.
Every track is crafted with purpose: to fortify believers, awaken the lost, and prove that faith and authenticity can coexist in hip hop. Songs like Fortified and Made showcase his unique style — weaving biblical references with modern flow, street energy with eternal hope.
As the founder of the Laugh Light brand, New Philly doesn’t just make music; he builds community. His vision is to use comedy, creativity, and testimony to guide people from darkness into the light of the Lord.
New Philly’s motto: Be Great. Be Kind. Be the Light.
His voice is the sound of revival in a broken world — bold, unashamed, and fortified in Christ.
