Syed Guftaar Reza Gillani is a promising artist whose voice and singing style are believed to have been profoundly influenced by the legendary artist Mohammad Rafi. He is famous for having won the All-Pakistan Music Conference in 2009 bagging the prestigious Saleem Akhtar Gold Medal. He has had the honour to have done a solo concert for the Pakistan Army at his alma mater, Aitchison College, Lahore, and performed with various renowned artists such as Alka Yagnik, Zille Huma (the daughter of Madam Noor Jahan), Ustad Hamid Ali Khan, the Raga Boys and many more. He has also had the honour to have performed at the Amnesty International Event in 2007 which campaigned to end abuses of human rights. Besides appearing on several television shows, he has performed at a number of benefits in Pakistan and in the United Kingdom, including events organised by notable service organisations such as the ASG Heritage Ltd. and the Rotary International.
