Gurridyula Gaba Wunggu is a Wirdi speaking tribal warrior from the Autonomous Zone of Waddananggu, inside Wangan and Jagalingou Nation, Central Queensland, Australia.
Gurridyula has been living in a tent, performing ceremony across the road from the Adani coal mine, with a continuous sacred fire for over 3 years in an effort to save his Country and Culture from destruction.
Already being an accomplished composer and performer with Yidaki (Didgeredoo) and electronic music, he started singing, producing and recording his own unique hip hop songs from a motorbike trailer in the bush when he began the ceremonial reoccupation in 2021, in an effort to get his message out to the world.
Gurridyula rarely leaves his sacred fires at Waddananggu, but in recent years has performed at Hamer Hall in Melbourne, the Sydney Opera House, Rising Tide Festival, and on the lawns of Parliament House.
Gurridyula is most well known for his song Onamission, and his Debut Album, titled Waddananggu.
